Luggage & Bags
The Textiles Lab at the Good Housekeeping Institute evaluates many types of luggage, including carry-ons, under-seat bags, smart , hardside cases, checked bags, and more. By testing attributes like abrasion and scratch resistance, water resistance, weight and size, usability, and durability, we evaluate them in the lab. To compare compartments and determine how much each can hold, we also run packing tests. Next, we use laypeople to evaluate the luggage on a series of obstacles while providing input on elements like handle comfort, wheel performance, and manoeuvrability. The majority of us view bags and backpacks as being crucial parts of our daily lives.
